Muddy Reflections

My husband calls this the start of mud season.  😉    Here are some tree reflections in a mud puddle outside my door. In the first one the wind was blowing and the tiny waves on the water gave the tree a crooked and wavy appearance.  During the second photo the wind was still.

January 13th, 2010

Today, January 13th, 2010 was the first day this calendar year that it was above freezing here.

The temperature might have sneaked above the freezing line, but there were still icicles everywhere.

But with the sun finally shining bright, I took the opportunity to photograph some of them in the light.

These cast creepy looking shadows on the house.

I loved how blue the sky was today:

Tiny Water Droplet

I know I have a tendency to make a big deal out of minor details (just ask my husband – LOL!).  But …  as I was about to give my daughter a bottle today a tiny drop of water fell from the freshly washed bottle, onto her pink fleece blanket.  And fleece has somewhat of a waterproof tendency, so the droplet just sat there.  I thought it looked beautiful the way the light from the window was reflecting off of it.  And I had to go get the camera.

It seemed a bit out of place to include it here.  But then I remembered what I said when I started this blog, about taking the time to enjoy the little things.   😉
