Queen Anne’s Lace

These are photos of Queen Anne’s Lace.  This plant is so easily confused with poison hemlock that a person really shouldn’t handle them unless they are totally sure.  The plants look extremely similar.  And hemlock is very toxic.

Here it is going to seed:

  1. Thank you! I think they are scary similar. I remember my grandmother taking my cousins and I on walks when we were kids and pointing out the hemlock and telling us not to touch it. There are actually cases of being poisoned just by touching it. When I was a kid I just assumed that she said not to touch it because it was poison if you ate it. But you can actually get sick from handling it. It is said to be extremely toxic.
